National 'Go Hiking in a Blizzard' Day
We were so excited to be home we thought we'd go for a hike.
Our hike took us along the beautiful Icefields Parkway to our destination of Parker Ridge.
Bow Lake (I think). Fed by the Bow Glacier, and source of the Bow River.
Looking back down the valley from where we had come.
"Are you having fun Lou?"
"Heeheehee, Yes I am Rob! Hee hee hee!"
Spot the trail... this is definately not Saskatchewan. We knew it was time to go home when we ran into a group of four guys snowboarding past us.
The Columbia Icefields.
Ditto
The Athabasca glacier that feeds the Columbian Icefields.
Mt Watchmecallit
My tour guide for the day
Mt Dunnoewatthisis
Where we stopped for our picnic lunch.
The drive home.
Big mountains in the distance.
Big mountains in the nearstance. Yes that is a word.
Back at the Bow Lake
It's starting to freeze over.
Same
The bow glacier in the distance.
Bow Lake Again. I should mention that they had so much snow here overnight they had to close all of the roads... apparently it dumped where we were hiking...
