Roadtrip Day 14 - The Big Apple
Downtown Manhattan from the ESB - 86 floors up.
Just down... from the ESB. The building we stayed in is the building smack bang in the middle of the photo. The street running diagonally through the photo is Broadway.
Midtown Manhanttan from the ESB - this building has 73 elevators in it and 10 million bricks.
The Chrysler building and Trumpy's house (the black building).
My wonderful parents and I. Thanks for a terrific time Mum and Dad!
The air and space museum is on the retired WWII aircraft carrier "The Intrepid".
We got the great circle line ferry trip which was excellent.
I
NY!
The space in the skyline is where the WTC used to be. The black building on the right is covered in scaffolding and has to be torn down from damage.
Ms Liberty
Battery Island and the Statue of Liberty. The statue is actually made of bronze or something and should appear all shiny but oxidization has turned it green.
The Staten Island Ferry
Wall St is just to the left of the wedding cake building
The Brooklyn bridge - ie. the bridge we walked over yesterday
Near the end of the great circle line ferry ride
From here you can see the ESB and the Chrysler building
ESB, Chrysler and Trumpy's
The John Lennon memorial in Central Park
Central Park - yet to figure out the building in the background but it looks cool
Central Park with Mum looking the other way on the bridge
It just wouldn't be a visit to the US without a photo of their flag...
Central Park
Dude with swords akimbo
This obelisk in Central park was enormous and made the trip all the way from Egypt.
Ground Zero
Grabbing the bull by the horns...
