Krazy Kilts
We were very honoured to be invited to Scotland for the wedding of Caroline and John. It was our second trip to Scotland and we had the Highlands in our sight. Fort William to be precise.
Friday night consisted of a short flight from London to Glasgow and then a 2 1/2 hour drive from Glasgow to Fort William. It was a shame that it was dark as the views we have been told are well worth the drive. We were extremely fortunate to be staying with the bride and her family.
The wedding on Saturday morning was distinctly Scottish. Tartan, kilts and krazy weather (i.e. it rained, was sunny, cold and windy - all within 2 minutes of each other). The Church was absolutely beautiful dating back to 1862 and so we are told (by Colin) was built and houses some of John's ancestors.

The lunch reception was a good chance to get warm and full and attempt to understand the Scottish language. As Aussies we were definitely the minority.

The evening was unlike any post wedding we have been to. Colin, Tania (Bridesmaid), Rob & Lou decided to show Fort William a thing or two at the bowling alley.

Sunday morning we took the long way back to Glasgow calling in at Aberfoyle and Loch Ard to find some of Lou's Scottish ancestors' family homes. It was a beautiful afternoon. The scenery absolutely stunning.

Scotland is definitely one of the most beautiful countries we have visited.

Our thanks must go to Caroline and John, Moira and Calum for there hospitality, teas and black pudding!
